My name is Jodi and I live in Faringdon, Oxfordshire with my family and rescue dog.
I am a warm and empathetic therapist who will challenge and support you to get the very best from therapy. I am committed to making sure my ways of working are grounded in the evidence base (what we know works best) but also, that I offer you a personalised service. I enjoy learning about new and innovative ways to support my clients, after all, one size does not fit all.
I have over 20 years of experience, mostly in the NHS and public sector, but always focussed on improving health and wellbeing. I have worked both as a clinician, manager and clinical lead, so have in-depth knowledge and appreciation of what it takes to provide a responsive, high-quality and personalised service.

I am currently undertaking the 'return to practice' pathway via my professional body, the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). This is because I have been working outside of a clinical role for a period of time, and it is therefore essential that I can demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of CBT. Rest assured, I am undertaking a robust and thorough approach, requiring over 400 hours of evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), self-study, clinical practice and clinical supervision.
All my practice is insured for Professional and Public Liability and I have ongoing and full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance and Child Safeguarding (Level 3).
If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can also find out more on the BABCP website.
I'm the kind of person that thrives on challenge. I like to push my boundaries and put my mind and body to the test to see what I can achieve.
In 2015, I completed Couch to 5k. I'd never been particularly sporty or fit, but surprised myself with what I achieved simply by breaking a bigger goal down into smaller, manageable chunks.
Since then, I've qualified as a run leader and run coach with England Athletics and as a personal trainer, and am often seen out and around Faringdon supporting Far Runners, our local community run club. I started pushing myself to run further and have now completed Race to the Stones (2021) and Race to the King (2022) ultra-marathons (100km). As a new challenge, I've recently started training for strong(wo)man competitions.
I am passionate about promoting and improving mental health and try to live this out through my community work and personal hobbies.
I pride myself on keeping up to date on the latest research and thinking in the world of mental health and psychological therapies.
I like to document my latest learning, both for self-development, but also because I believe it is useful and interesting for my clients to read what I've been learning, and how these skills might apply to their needs.
